I love making custom pieces, I had a customer call me and ask if I would put in a few flowers on her barefoot jewelry. I replaced the crystals with some beautiful crystal luster flower pressed glass beads. Made especially for her beach wedding.

The year was 2000, I was a mom with 2 small children looking for a business I could run out of my home so I could be available for my family. I had just started beading and was enjoying it. I thought what could I make that I could sell online that people would actually want to buy. I made necklaces, bracelets and beaded wraps that you could wear as a belt or long necklace. But how do I make a website.

Bob told me he would pay for my first website to see if anything would come from it. I had my friend Rus he designed my original site and did the SEO for me. He taught me HTML and how to optimize and take care of my site; he is the one who came up with my web name Ladybead. I went live with my site on April 1 2001.

In June I was contacted by Bonnie Walker who asked me if I could create some jewelry for a wedding she was going to in the Virgin Islands, she told me she had looked around online and didn’t see anything she liked. She wanted something fancy for her feet. I told her to give me a week and I would design something. I worked night and day trying to figure out what to make. I had always enjoyed netting and right angle weave so I played around with that, after a few days. I came up with my first netted pair of foot jewelry. She purchased 4 pairs from me and got my creative juices flowing. Now my site has the largest selection of barefoot jewelry on the web. I love what I do, and it has made it so I never had to go back to a 9-5 job. I have my husband to thank for his undying financial and emotional support though out this journey.

What a beautiful day it is in Southern California, I even saw a rainbow yesterday.

We went to a wonderful wedding on Saturday Night and spent the night in Bakersfield. We left at 11:00 am on Saturday 2/27/10 and got home at around 2:00pm on Sunday 2/28/10 afternoon Now these times below are Military and East coast  so at 2/27/20 at 7:00 is actually at 4 am PST. Now we left at 11 am on the 27^th so between 17:00 and 18:00 we WERE NOT HOME and yet when I talked to the customer service I did not let him know I was not home I simply asked him when we went over our bandwith. The employee said we went over at 6pm and that we downloaded during that time, I then informed him we were not home at that time and when he could not correct himself I asked for a supervisor. I then said to the supervisor that it looks as if we went over at 6pm and she agreed and then I told her we were not home and there records show we were over at 1pm eastern and that she hadn’t even looked at our records. Our internet access is encrypted so you have to have a password to get online. Funny thing is they say at 6pm PST we went over. The whole thing doesn’t make sense if the records they show us online to view shows we went over at about 1 PST yet they say we went over at 6 pm PST and yet they have NEGLECTED TO HELP US IN ANY WAY.  The supervisor told me she could not give me a last name or identification number to connect her in any way about her claim that we went over at 6pm. She never herself actually looked to see when we went over and only tried to support her fellow workers claim that we went over at 6pm. After explaining to her that on there website they show us going over at 1pm eastern time and that did not know what she was talking about she said she would forward the problem to the technicians for review. I made her acknowledge that 1pm eastern is not 6pm pacific and she still insisted that at 6pm we down loaded a 7 meg file (Nobody was home). Really makes me wonder are they selling more bandwith than they can cover. I remember a time a few month ago when I was on dialup for a week yet the insisted I was over my bandwith. I said how can I be over when I can’t access the internet. They could not show where I went over and they finally relented and gave me access after being denied access for about a week. Still this supposed supervisor did not care to help me. You can see the picture that shows our bill at Holiday Inn Express that proves we were not at home. We live very rural in a neighborhood of about 1200 people. Bottom line is Hughesnet does not care about it’s customers, the supervisor offered us no compensation or ability to help us in any way. I suggest if you need a satellite service go with Wild Blue.
